About

The Vail Golf Course Neighborhood is one of the most unique locations in the Vail Valley adjacent to Golden Peak in Vail Village.  The Vail Golf Course area has a uniquely short free shuttle that is the only bus route, outside of Vail Village, that drops you right at the ski school and ski slopes in Vail’s Golden Peak, rather than at the transportation center.

Vail Golfcourse Townhome 64 is nestled on the hill side of Golf Lane in the newest phase of the exclusive Vail Golfourse Townhomes.  This three-story 4 bedroom plus loft residence boasts a truly gorgeous and tasteful, “to the studs,” remodel and reconfiguration that transformed the property in 2014.  This is unlike any of the other Vail Golfcourse Townhomes in style and configuration as it was designed by interior designer, and home builder,
Katie Wolfe-Agron (also the owner), who considered every feature of the home from demolition and rebuilding of walls to the finest details.  The general contractor Burke Harrington executed Katie’s vision perfectly.

For those of you that have seen other Vail Golfcourse Townhomes, you will instantly feel the difference from the moment you walk in the front door.  The entry was altered to create a light and bright feel that is much more open than other townhomes after opening up the underside of the stairs and taking the closet space to create a wonderful mud room area with big deep drawers that make it easy to keep the space tidy even with young children.  There is a two-car heated garage with built-in organizing shelves, ideal for the type A personality.

With an open floor plan, the main level is replete with ample light and head-turning finishes that are in such good taste and style that it will actually stand the test of time.  Both the main living room and the master bedroom have peek-a-boo views of the Gore Range.  The kitchen centerpiece island has a gorgeous walnut slab countertop and is  beautifully accented by white marble countertops throughout the remainder of the kitchen.  The kitchen includes high-end appliances including Wolf and Subzero and there is even an ice maker to make it easy to offer the perfect cocktail or glass of iced tea.

In the living room, cozy up to the Isokern wood-burning fireplace that was relocated from the previous fireplace location in order to have the ideal balance in the room.  The charming wood storage compartment has kindle-ready wood and decorative aspen logs.  Enjoy hanging out together or playing games or step out on the balcony and breathe in the crisp mountain air.

After long fun-filled days outdoors, the adults can open a glass of wine and socialize while prepping dinner and the kids can play games or watch a movie in the secluded flex room that doubles as both a family room and a bunk room.  The bunks are cleverly built into the walls, allowing ample space for the family room sitting area.

Upstairs there are two impressive master bedrooms, each en suite and with walk-in closets.  A third guest bedroom has it’s own bathroom just across the hallway with two twin beds.  The guest master provides the ultimate privacy and an innovative ship’s ladder to the spacious loft with two twin beds, making this every child’s dream bedroom resembling a tree house.  The main master is showered in natural light and lovely Gore Range views in both the bedroom and the master bathroom.  The master bathroom is truly elegant with Italian Carrara marble, a double vanity and make-up area.

This is an ideal property for someone that loves the idea of a more “lock and leave” scenario where the homeowners association maintains the landscaping, snow, building exterior and property responsibility, making it a stress free existence.  This specific complex has recently redone the asphalt and the roof.

Unit 64 is located away from the roadway impact but is close to the amenities (summertime pool) and just a two minute walk to golf and nordic skiing on the Vail Golf Course.  Conveniently located down the street, dine or enjoy cocktails overlooking the Gore Range at Grill On the Gore. Take an easy hike on the famous Vail Trail hike right out your back door that will take you to Vail Village.

The Vail Golf Course community is home to some of the Vail Valley’s first residents, many of whom formed some of Vail’s original businesses. Why would the earliest locals select this area and remain for so many decades? In the summer months you can just walk, hike or ride your bike to the Vail Village, take in a
BravoVail!Philharmonic or dance event at the Ford Amphitheater.  The Ford Amphitheater located between Vail Village and the Vail Golf Course offers many concerts, special events and performances throughout the year. In addition to Gore Creek and various ponds running through the area and prominent views of the Gore Range, this neighborhood is home to the renowned public Vail Golf Course. This community offers some of the most sought after property locations in the Vail Valley.

About the Area

Vail Village

The Town of Vail is surrounded by the White River National Forest and Vail Ski Resort: home to world class skiing, biking, hiking, fishing, golfing, shopping, and dining. The town of Vail has a total area of 4.5 square miles with the Gore Creek flowing through the center of town. Elevation average is around 8,150 feet above sea level and visible from the top of Vail Mountain is the world famous “Mount of the Holy Cross”. Nestled among the stunning mountains, meandering rivers and streams, lush forests, and aspen fields, Vail always feels intimate with splendid alpine villages and friendly people. Modeled on European ski towns, many of which are car-free, the town is partially pedestrianized. The Town of Vail operates the largest free shuttle bus system in the United States and has one hybrid-electric bus. With an incredibly well developed culinary center and a variety of restaurants, Vail is also developing a cultural center, with various art and music venues active throughout the summer. Ford Amphitheater hosts several key events throughout the summer.

Piney River Ranch is only a few miles north of the Vail area.  “Piney” as people often refer to it, is set on the edge of Piney Lake, and nestled at the foot of the majestic Gore Range, Piney River Ranch is a private, forty-acre Rocky Mountain retreat, long known as a favorite wedding and day-trip destination.   Piney is surrounded by thousands of acres of backcountry within the White River National Forest.  Piney offers a variety of activities from fly-fishing, hiking, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, waterfalls or simply relaxing in the gorgeous natural environment.

The
Vail Golf Course presents golfers with a unique 18-hole, par 71 experience that is open to the public. When snow blankets the Vail Golf Club, it becomes the full-service Vail Nordic Center. Glide along 17 kilometers of daily-groomed skate and classic track, or snowshoe on 10 kilometers of scenic trails. For a new experience, check out our 13K of fat bike trails and fat bike rentals!

The close proximity to I-70 makes it an easy jaunt to Denver International Airport and the Greater Denver area to take in shopping, professional sporting events and other cultural events offered by the Front Range area.  And the Vail Jet Center is just 31 miles west and offers flights to and from many cities making Vail one of the most accessible mountain getaways with high level cultural events throughout the year.
