About

This gorgeous Vail Golf Course residence has incredible views, backs up to national forest and has an ideal main level layout with the perfect outdoor living space.  There is a comfortable neighborhood vibe despite being so close to Golden Peak.  Although walking distance to Vail Village, enjoy the convenient bus stop at the end of the driveway for an effortless ride to the village and slopes.  As if that isn’t desirable enough, this property comes with an option for a coveted Vail Mountain Club membership, allowing the new owner to skip the estimated five-year waiting list.

This 2005 residence underwent an extensive renovation on the main level in 2015 and now features an elegant mountain contemporary design.  The living room, kitchen and dining have an open flow that is ideal for entertaining and all have private views overlooking national forest.  The kitchen features tasteful finishes and high-end appliances.  There is an elevator for all three levels in a location that is the least obtrusive and most convenient.

The main level master has a luxurious bathroom, dual vanities and walk-in closet. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms including a secondary master, an office area, large walk-in closet, as well as a reading/sleeping nook. Downstairs has a well designed entry, mudroom, fourth bedroom and the family/media room that could easily be used as a fifth bedroom (as it has a Jack-and-Jill bathroom and a door for privacy).  There is also a nice sized two-car garage with two storage closets, private hot tub, heated driveway and magnificent perennial gardens.

The heated patio is the perfect setting to be enjoyed during any season.  Colorado summers will call you outside to have cocktails by the fire pit or hike on the iconic Vail Trail, just steps from your patio.  Enjoy the extensive perennial gardens with gorgeous flowers sprouting throughout the spring, summer and early fall.  In the winter, take apres-skiing back home for a soak in the hot tub while overlooking the snow-covered trees.  Backed up to White River National Forest, experience an abundance of passing wildlife that frequent the property year-round and views of aspen groves as far as the eye can see.  In this peaceful mountain sanctuary that manages to deceivingly escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, reconnect with what truly matters while being effortlessly close to the heart of Vail - Vail Village.

There is excellent storage in this residence with two bedrooms having walk-in closets, an additional large “extra” walk-in closet next to the upstairs office, a mudroom and two storage closets in the garage.

Unlike many single-family homes and duplexes right in Vail Village (i.e. Rockledge Road, Beaver Dam and Forest Road) that are often on steep grades, lacking sunlight and no free shuttle, here you can easily walk, ride a bike or hop on the bus for a comfortable trip back to 1418 Vail Valley Drive.

This home boasts a coveted bus stop at the end of the heated driveway but is positioned just behind the pine trees on the other side of the duplex.  Your friends and family can download an app and monitor in real-time the next bus.  As the bus comes down the street, perfectly time walking down the driveway, hop on and you will be dropped off in three minutes at the ski school and Vail Village base at Golden Peak.  When your college kids want a late night on the town, you can sleep easy knowing they can safely walk home or take the bus that will drop them right back at the house.

As if this isn't all convenient enough, this homeowner has a Vail Mountain Club membership that comes with valet parking!   The current wait list for this membership is estimated at five years but you will "skip the line" as this owner paid an extra fee to attach it to the home to avoid new owners having to wait.   The Club provides heated underground valet parking, designated ski lockers in a private locker room, clubhouse at the base of Gondola One with bar and elegant member lounge, slope-side ski valet, year-round ski storage and year-round outdoor pool and hot tub. Complimentary daily continental breakfast, lunch and club concierge services are also included.  All Lodge at Vail amenities like wellness spa, fitness center, pool and hot tub are included with membership.
Why not have it all from the moment we hand you the keys to this incredible residence!

The Vail Golf Course neighborhood is one of the most unique locations in the Vail Valley.  The Vail Golf Course is located immediately adjacent to Vail Village's Golden Peak ski base.  This beautiful golf course community is home to some of the Vail Valley's first residents, many of whom formed some of Vail's original businesses. Why would the earliest locals select this area and remain for so many decades?  This area boasts the shortest route of all the free Vail bus routes making an already convenient ride even more so. During the summer months, you can just walk or ride your bike to the Vail Village and take in a Bravo! Vail or Dance event at the Ford Amphitheater. This venue, which is located between Vail Village and the Vail Golf Course, offers many concerts, special events and performances throughout the year. In addition, Gore Creek traverses the area and prominent views of the Gore Range are easily seen. The Vail Golf Course neighborhood is home to the renowned public Vail Golf Club.  In the winter time it operates as a cross country ski area and has a great restaurant and patio for enjoying food and drinks. This community offers some of the most sought after property locations in the Vail Valley.

Detail Report

About the Area

Vail Village

The Town of Vail is surrounded by the White River National Forest and Vail Ski Resort: home to world class skiing, biking, hiking, fishing, golfing, shopping, and dining. The town of Vail has a total area of 4.5 square miles with the Gore Creek flowing through the center of town. Elevation average is around 8,150 feet above sea level and visible from the top of Vail Mountain is the world famous “Mount of the Holy Cross”. Nestled among the stunning mountains, meandering rivers and streams, lush forests, and aspen fields, Vail always feels intimate with splendid alpine villages and friendly people. Modeled on European ski towns, many of which are car-free, the town is partially pedestrianized. The Town of Vail operates the largest free shuttle bus system in the United States and has one hybrid-electric bus. With an incredibly well developed culinary center and a variety of restaurants, Vail is also developing a cultural center, with various art and music venues active throughout the summer. Ford Amphitheater hosts several key events throughout the summer.

Piney River Ranch is only a few miles north of the Vail area.  “Piney” as people often refer to it, is set on the edge of Piney Lake, and nestled at the foot of the majestic Gore Range, Piney River Ranch is a private, forty-acre Rocky Mountain retreat, long known as a favorite wedding and day-trip destination.   Piney is surrounded by thousands of acres of backcountry within the White River National Forest.  Piney offers a variety of activities from fly-fishing, hiking, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, waterfalls or simply relaxing in the gorgeous natural environment.

The
Vail Golf Course presents golfers with a unique 18-hole, par 71 experience that is open to the public. When snow blankets the Vail Golf Club, it becomes the full-service Vail Nordic Center. Glide along 17 kilometers of daily-groomed skate and classic track, or snowshoe on 10 kilometers of scenic trails. For a new experience, check out our 13K of fat bike trails and fat bike rentals!

The close proximity to I-70 makes it an easy jaunt to Denver International Airport and the Greater Denver area to take in shopping, professional sporting events and other cultural events offered by the Front Range area.  And the Vail Jet Center is just 31 miles west and offers flights to and from many cities making Vail one of the most accessible mountain getaways with high level cultural events throughout the year.
