1183 Cabin Circle in Vail, Colorado -Luxury Vail Valley Broker Malia Cox Nobrega

1183 Cabin Circle in Vail, Colorado

I was thrilled to be the listing broker for this home sold back in May of 2014. With such a prime lot location and historical ties to the area, it was easy to see the potential for its future redevelopment of what was and will always be an iconic Vail residence. With one of the two largest lots in the Vail Golfcourse area and the most impressive direct views of the Gore Range mountains that overlook the Vail Golfcourse of any home in Vail, it was clear why this location was the first lot and filling in the Vail area. That very lot, now 1183 Cabin Circle, used to be home to the Pulis Cabin which was built in 1941 on a 160-acre ranch then owned by the Pulis family who were from Denver. The Pulis family bought the ranch adjacent to the Anholtz property in 1940 and later worked out a long-term lease with the town of Vail that allowed the golf course to be built. The Pulis family sold off lots that would become golf-course-side properties. For the Pulis cabin to be preserved it was relocated to East Vail and a new home was erected in its place during the 1960s. That property was later remodeled in the 80’s and thereafter by the Hoversteins.

The home was eventually purchased in 2007 by my clients and I sold it for them in 2014. The Buyer’s interest was led by Scott Turnipseed, a local renowned architect. His team learned of the unique lot that was available to purchase and swung into action. They spent several hours on site coming up with the vision for the current redevelopment plan. Scott’s vision includes taking advantage of every single opportunity the land and location were destined for. This amazing home is under construction now and is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2016 with no details overlooked. Awe-inspiring, gun barrel Gore Range views overlooking the Vail Golf course provide the backdrop for this 6-bedroom, 9-bath Vail Golf Course home designed and built by Turnipseed. Featuring cascading water features, mountain modern interior design, receding glass walls, magnificent outdoor spaces, a rec room with a full bar, a 2 bedroom guest residence, and state-of-the-art systems will make this one of the most iconic homes available to own in Vail.
