August 2015 Market Report for the Vail Valley

Eagle County real estate sales remain strong with 198 transactions and over $155 million in sales volume in August. That is up 36% from the previous year in August. Year-to-date Eagle County is up 14% in dollar volume at $1,202,170,817 and up 18% in number of transactions with 1,273.

Vail Village had 6 transactions with nearly $20 million in sales volume, the highest dollar volume of any one area in August at nearly 13% of the total volume. A large contributor to Vail’s high dollar volume was the highest residential sale at The Chalets at the Lodge at Vail, Unit 9 selling at $12,650,000.  East Vail had 13 transactions with $6.1 million in sales. Beaver Creek and Arrowhead together accounted for over 20% of sales volume for Eagle County.
